Thomas Kilgannon serves as the President of Freedom Alliance, an educational and charitable foundation dedicated to preserving the American heritage of freedom and defending U.S. sovereignty.
Freedom Alliance is one of the leading voices in the nation’s capital on issues concerning American sovereignty, international institutions, and national defense. Kilgannon has reported on international conferences sponsored by the United Nations in Monterrey, Mexico; Johannesburg, South Africa; and New York City.
At Freedom Alliance, Kilgannon instituted the Military Leadership Academy which encourages high school students to serve their country. Through this program, students learn valuable leadership skills which inspire them to serve a cause greater than their own self interest.
During Mr. Kilgannon’s tenure, the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund has awarded more than $1 million in college tuition to the children of military personnel who have been killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty.
Before joining Freedom Alliance, Kilgannon served as a top aide to Representative Mark Neumann of Wisconsin and helped Neumann become one of the most visible and effective members of the historic freshman class of 1995. Prior to that, he coordinated policy and communications for the Christian Action Network, a pro-family lobbying organization. In 1992, Kilgannon served as deputy press secretary for Patrick J. Buchanan's presidential campaign.
Tom is a graduate of New York University where he studied economics. He has appeared on CNBC, MSNBC, Fox News, CNN International, C-SPAN, and Court TV, and numerous nationally syndicated radio programs. Tom is the host of the Freedom First radio program on the Rightalk Network. He is also the author of Diplomatic Divorce: Why America Should End Its Love Affair With the United Nations.
