On February 26, Freedom Alliance hosted 30 troops and their families to a Troop Appreciation Dinner in Sonoita, Arizona. In attendance was a mix of Soldiers recovering in the Wounded Transition Unit (WTU) at Ft. Huachuca, as well as those soon to be medically released from the Army due to injuries sustained fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.
These dinners are not only about thanking and supporting the men and women who have sacrificed for our nation, but for their families as well. “I think it’s amazing what you guys do for the Soldiers. I know being a spouse of one of them we greatly appreciate the support,” said Army spouse Jessica.
“I’d like to say thank you very much. Being in the Warrior Transition Unit is difficult at times, and these dinners are very nice for all of us,” said Army Master Sergeant Joseph.
Freedom Alliance Troop Appreciation Dinners are held for troops stationed at bases across the country. In 2009, Freedom Alliance held more than 20 of these events to honor our Armed Forces. |
